MONARCHMAZE

The model for the glass maze constructed inside the cube comes from the hexagonal labyrinth drawn on the floor of the Chartres cathedral, symbolizing the idea of life, death and rebirth.
For me, the monarch butterflies represent the fragile and resilient force of nature confronted with the power humans exercise over it as they systematically destroy the Monarch's natural summer and winter habitats.
