This piece is about false optimization, about nature being trumped up.  It seals up a contradictory world in which we try to achieve perfect health and well-being by using vitamins and nutritional supplements that are pristinely locked inside tamper-proof bottles, while we poison our environment with pollution generated by our desire to achieve the high "standard of living" promised by the industrial and commercial establishment.  The sealed glass container holds toxic looking copper leaves in water.
